Explanation

When you have created your flight plan, you can review it on the DJI controller and alter the settings.

There are two options:

A. Automatic: Your flight plan covers your area of interest

If your flight plan covers your area of interest, and there are no restricted areas around where you can't fly (busy roads, airports,...), you can leave the flight plan on 'AUTO' so the drone flies outside the borders.

This way, you also get good quality images of the border of your flight zone.

B. Manual: Your flight plan demarcates your allowed flying zone

If you drew your flight plan based on an allowed flying zone, because there are restricted areas or obstacles outside that zone, make sure you change your 'Margin setting' to 'MANUAL'. This way, the drone won't fly over the border so you won't enter are restricted area or fly into an object.

The quality of the border images will be lower, as there is less overlap.
